A Reflection of the Soul

There was definitely a time in which people were the object of my affection.

It was almost like these guys “brought meaning into my life.” However, these days I am choosing to Be and be my own focal point for my affection.

The whole narrative around the “twin flame” journey, Soulmate, or “The One” has been distorted through many opinions and experiences—probably stemming from fear. Certain people, or guides and “leaders” are monetizing people’s vulnerability and need for love. They are making genuinely heartbroken and vulnerable people believe that the love they so desire exists somewhere else in another person. Filling their head with thoughts that if they are not with that person, they will never find that love.

This is an extremely flawed and outdated belief. And here’s why:

Anything that involves searching outside of yourself for something that is “missing” is not love.

It could be attachment, is could be lust, it could be desire, but it most certainly is not love.

The homie Deepak Chopra changed my life in his book, “The Path to Love” when he explained that LOVE is not an external image. It is not something that we have to search for, or something that is outside of ourselves. Love is not a thing; Love is a force. A force that flows through and throughout you and me, through and throughout the universe.

If anyone has ever told you that the love that you seek is inside of another person, I invite you to look at it from another point of view…

The love that you think you seek from another person, is really the love that you are seeking from yourself

If Love is not an external image but a fluid force, then what your soul is really craving is for you to turn your attention inwards. This, allowing you to look within for that love that is already inside of you.

It is our nature to love. We are born out of Love. We are made up of Love.

All life truly is, is a return back to our true essence, which is Love.

It’s not a soulmate you are looking for to make you happy, it’s yourself. You are looking for that force in which you were born of. You are looking to return to Love.

That can only be found inward.

When two people come together in equal partnership, they are not taking from the other. They are instead combining forces, and creating a new individual force. They are contributing their energy to birth something new. This allowing them not to sacrifice parts of their make-up, while allowing them to contribute how they see fit to this new co-creative energy. They are complimentary. They do not complete one another. You were born whole. You will die whole. You will live on beyond this physical dimension a whole ass soul.

The narrative that in order to love, you have to sacrifice parts of your wellbeing is detrimental to the soul, and not at all a reflection of unconditional love.

This is what I have come to realize on my personal journey back to unconditional love. I hope this can ring true on some level to you all as well.

I pray that one day we as a collective can return back to unconditional love, while encouraging other people to do the same. I pray that we can drop the fear, and notice that all these unhealthy attachments, and narratives are the egos need for survival. We all deserve to experience divine Love. We all deserve to be free of the confines of the ego, and the enslavement to external sources. The illusion can only last so long before the unexplainable void inside gets too heavy to carry. This is because it was never meant to be carried. It is meant to be acknowledged, then released. It takes more energy to stray from Who You Are than to surrender to EVERYTHING that you were created to BE.

So make the decision to open your eyes, your hearts, your minds, and BE.

You are free to Be when you choose to accept yourself just as you are.

And you are D I V I N E.

You are L O V E.

May you learn to trust your own discernment, and the spirit of unconditional love be with you always.
